IDEFICS « Informatique, Données et Entreprises pour la Formation et l’Innovation en Calcul scientifique et pour la Société »

The IDEFICS project consists of the creation of a digital transition support service for manufacturers, in particular to face current challenges such as Artificial Intelligence and BigData. The IDEFICS project aims at strengthening MUST digital platform and open it up more widely to companies.

MUST as a platform of Savoie Mont Blanc University (USMB) and ** CNRS ** hosted and operated by the Annecy Laboratory of Particle Physics (LAPP) combines:

• high-tech computer resources;
• the technical skills of its operating team, user support and IT experts from LAPP and LISTIC, two USMB laboratories;
• means dedicated to experimentation;
• training capacities;
• ** excellence in the scientific fields ** concerned by the researchers who lead it.

In our closest territory (the Pays de Savoie) the USMB Foundation, which participated in our recent successes, helps us maintain our relations with the ecosystem of SMEs and local industries and plays a role of intermediary and dissemination of IDEFICS objectives to companies. The participation of CIMES competitiveness clusters, as well as representatives of many regional companies in the strategic management of the platform allows us to strengthen this link. LAPP is supporting the IDEFICS project, building on the success of the partnerships of the last three years, through multidisciplinary cooperation with ICT components of research and higher education (regional, such as the LISTIC laboratory of the USMB, the CC-IN2P3 computing center in Lyon, the Grenoble Data Institute, and also national ones, such as the LI-PaRAD laboratory and the Maison de la Simulation at the University of Paris-Saclay) as well as with companies in supporting their digital transition (PFEIFFER VACUUM) and the sharing of R&D challenges in Information Technologies (OROBIX, TRUST-IT, etc.).
